Eternal Ritual
  Interview #1: Intro

Interviewing with: Whole band of Eternal Midnight (March 2007)
Note: With exception of Inori, since she wasn't in the band yet.

1. You guys had your first single sold out in less than a mere month; 1000 copies wasn't it? How did that feel?
Y:
It felt unbelievable of course. We had the support of our family, friends and fellow musicians. But 1000 is not a lot, so we're gonna try having it sold out in half a month. (laughs)
Aku: If we can. (smirks)

2. When you guys first performed a gig prior to the singles sold out, did you think it had anything to do with your performance?
Y: Yeah, I think... The crowd was amazing. Music is one thing, but the power of the performance is as important.

3. Okay, this one is for Kage-san & Akatsuki-san. It is said that you two are siblings, twins even. Is that true? Most say it's not confirmed by the band or the company, etc.
K:
Yes, we're twins.
Aka: Kage's the older twin. I'm the younger twin.
So how does it feel being twins in a rock band? There's not many twin artistes out there, much less in a rock band?
K: It feels normal.
Aka: What's there to feel different about? You feel more comfortable with your twin nearby. And we share alot of fun together. The performances and experience being in the music scene and the band keeps our bond as close as ever. (smiles)

4. Alright, now it's Yoru-san and Akumu-san. You guys are also siblings?
Y: Yeah, I'm the older brother. We're just a year apart. (ruffles Akumu's hair)
Aku: (laughs) Yeah, I'm younger but I think I'm more responsible? (laughs again)

5. Ok, Hiai-san. You're the oldest, and also, the... only person without a sibling here. Does it feel awkward or, do you feel left out at times?
H: No, not really. We're all family. I'm like the older brother taking car of little kids. (The rest of the band laughs)

6. Ok, now on to your single. The band's theme is very dark and kinda scary. From the lyrics, it's all about demons and fear. What's the real meaning?
Y:
Well, our theme, as you said is all dark and scary. We're actually tryng to bring out the dark side of humans, of people. Our music is basically to express the negative side of emotions, such as fear, anger, hate and what not.

7. Alright, so what about the image? Many say that your image is still too light for such heavy dark music. With the current image, you guys are said (by first-time listeners) to look more like a punk or random visual kei band.
Y: Actually, we used to be a normal, non-visual heavy metal band. We believe mainly in just the music that we play. But we decided to join the visual kei scene to try something new. We're not that confident in our image skills yet, but we're trying.
Aka: We're still developing our image. But for the mean time, we're still in our old ways of reaching out to fans through pure music.

8. Alright, now we're at the end of the interview! So, each of you, do you have any words for your fans?
Y: Keep tuning in; we're releasing a second single this June.
Aku: Cling onto your nightmares.
Aka: Watch out for the red moon.
K: (does horned hand sign)
H: Support the underground metal music scene.
